I started my career in technology, and I have worn almost every hat. Developer, Quality Assurance, Business Systems Analyst, Scrum Master, and Product Owner. One of my hobbies (I have a few) was writing, and I always enjoyed that more.
You might wonder how tech could possibly lead to writing, and that is fair. However, each job role I filled required a specific style of communication, written and spoken. When I got to BSA, I had to learn how to speak with everyone so that we could work together to deliver the product’s vision. My time as a developer let me translate technical concerns into business-friendly constraints. As I moved into the Product Owner role, I had the skills to translate business needs into technical requirements.
As a result, I can tailor what I write to any audience. I’m sure you can see how that could work for you.
